Worthing HO Racing 2020 - all the 1/64 scale action from the Barn

2020 will be the eleventh year of 1/64 scale slot car racing in Worthing - and we'll mark the club's tenth birthday at our February Nascar night.

Our HO racing is great fun and a perfect introduction to slot car club racing. Competitive club cars and controllers are available at all HO events and are included in the entry fee of just £3 (£2 for under-16s). There's lots more info on our website:

Expect plenty of race coverage here on SlotRacer Online throughout the season. There is a separate thread here for our WHO/digital Scalextric digital racing.

The new season kicked off with 26 racers on the grid - including three making their WHO debuts. It was an action-packed evening of ultra-fast WHO Mod and slightly slower WHO Tuners cars. All the post-race coverage is over on the WHO website:

The marshals were particularly busy at turns one and two...

The club's tenth birthday is getting close - the opening night was on Wednesday 3 February 2010, when we opened the doors and an astonishing thirty-nine people came along to see what was going on in Goring. There are still three of us from that first night who are regulars at the club. We'll be presenting certificates to the seven racers who have raced in every one of the first ten seasons.

The Worthing Town Crier - Bob Smytherman - is joining us to open proceedings for the evening, which will be a 'normal' Nascar club night - racing on the first of four 'lost' Nascar race tracks from the US. That's Nascar-guru Keith's excellent theme for 2020...

The other three are Langhorne Speedway (May), Marchbanks Speedway (August) and Riverside International Raceway (November). I think I ought to break out a 60s or 70s Nascar racing body for this season.
