After all. Everyone knows you need to race two curtains against each other. Right?

NSR vs Carrera...can't see how Carrera won this, it's a one make kind of car whereas NSR parts are found right across a whole range of other makes, including Carrera's that get used as donors.
Winners of matches aren't decided on their standing in a game, if it's one v one it should be comparing a range of attributes, including what they're actually designed for...i.e. driving/racing and Carrera are in the relegation zone for that.

German oompah should be over this time... but wait...is that another brown envelope I spy!
Scalextric should walk this one but the other two matches are going to take some discussion.

The only brown envelope I've had recently was the road tax reminder.

Now we know who will meet who in the Semi-Finals of the 2024 World Cup of Slot:
Slot.it/Policar vs SCX and Scalextric vs Sideways.
Italy, France, Britain and Spain all still represented, but who will go forward? Who do you fancy for the win?
Semi-Finals will be 'played' and posted soon.

Slot.it/Policar v Scalextric in the final then.
I still can't believe that Scaleauto got knocked out in the first round. I can only guess that little consideration is given to manufacturers that actually make that essential component, the track. I think that's the only decision I'd argue over.

I agree.
Firms that don't make track are "bit part" players to me.

Cars are the most essential...track can be made and in most instances is much better than plastic track.
The different discussions have been mostly interesting and entertaining
I wasn't happy that 'on track performance' was mentioned this time round but brushed off in round 1 - NSR vs Carrera
Anyway...it'd be interesting to see a World Cup of Slot to become an annual event, as new products arrive these 'matches' could be different next year.
