I read, recently, on motorsport.com
read the article here that Rally1 could be replaced by Rally2.
You all may have different points-of-view, but I think it would be a good thing. I think that the top-tier of WRC has become too "niche". Quite a few years ago, before the hybrid-era started, I was finding WRC2 far more interesting/entertaining - in a similar way to my preference for Group A over Group B.
Thoughts, gents?
Best regards,
Stuart.

I completely agree with you. It would be good for rallying. I think more manufacturers will then consider participating in the WRC.
Those Rally1 cars are barely recognizable due to their large wings and spoilers.

Seb Ogier has been scathing about the very poor Rally1 field for the Monte.
Rally2 would be a good move for the sport - and for potential slot car models!

I've been wondering for years why no slot car has been made from a Skoda Fabia yet.

Tecnitoys/SCX did the 2005 version. I've got a 2007-liveried one in the For Sale section. Open to offers!

Stuart.

If one of the slot manufacturers obtained licences for R5 cars, I'd be a happy slotter........
VW Polo GTI R5
Ford Fiesta R5
Skoda Fabia R5
Citroen C3 R5
Peugeot 208 T16 R5
Citroen DS3 R5
Hyundai i20 R5
Proton Iriz R5
If you include the current Rally2 cars, which include some of the above plus the Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, you've got 13 possibilities.
Best regards,
Stuart.
