The RS1600 in that ^^^ post was a replacement for a badly battered, not very well repaired, and probably not long for this world, C2920 "Old Gold LVX941J" version.
This, however, is a car I've never owned before.................
I bought it to add to my collection of 1950s, 60s & 70s cars. I knew the wheels and tyres would be dire and the motor faaarr to revvy - like all Team Slot cars I've ever bought. I've already replaced the motor with a Chinese "14k @ 12v" one, and the wheels and tyres with Scalextric ones. All it needed, other than that, was a few grams added between the front axle and the motor. At some point I will replace the interior with a left-hand-drive (to match the wipers) rally one - when I find one that fits. All-in-all, not a bad car at all for £40 plus a couple of hours work and a few spares out of my stock.
Best regards,
Stuart.

As the Scalextric car in that ^^^ comment may well fall apart sooner rather than later - ie the next time I crash it - and I
really need to keep a Roger Clark car in my collection, how could I resist this.........
Advertised on eBay as "spares or repair", all that is wrong with it is one broken mirror (I've got spares) and broken rear bumper (got a spare for that as well). Everything else is fine - motor seems good, all the lights work, all the auxiliary lamps are intact. I've straightened the crooked aerial and wiper.
Considering the asking price of new ones (north of £70 inc delivery), and me not wanting the Daily Express liveried alternative (north of £50 delivered), this one was a bit of a bargain when the spares won't cost me anything.
Best regards,
Stuart.

With Escorts it's the same as with figures: There is always a reason to buy them.
Well done.

Beautiful pictures of beautiful cars, I was waiting for a Porsche 911 GT1 from MrSlotcar but not one of these.
What happened with the announced MR1022? Pendle still has it on pre-order. Will it still come or is it abandoned?
