Best regards,
Stuart.

Rally fans will recognise where this was supposed to be going..........

The sidestripes were a nightmare, to the point where they became unsalvageable.  They were extremely brittle, even with large amounts of Decal Soft on them.  To be fair, I've had the sheet in my to-do box for quite a few years.  Buying another sheet might not be the answer, the ink they used is pretty thick.
I'll post another image of what I manage to achieve in terms of a fantasy livery based around what I have done so far.

Best regards,
Stuart.

repaint of an old Scalextric 911 turbo
using German flag colours and any old stickers i had lying around
was a bit tatty and run of the mill . looks much better and more individual now i think

also used a 3DP pod chassis from one of John May's files . which fits perfect  Thumbup
runs OK  but waiting on some decent tyres . which should transform it

I finally finished the Escort that was supposed to be "Esso Blue LVX942J" (refer back to post #33, above).

This one isn't strictly a repaint, sorry.
My recently purchased Team Slot Escort RS2000 road car has morphed into a club rally car.  A long dead Revell Audi Sport Quattro donated its interior (I wanted a left-hand drive one, to match the wiper layout).  Decals were drawn by me, in Inkscape, and printed by Wraith.

Best regards,
Stuart.

Been a bit quiet here, lately.

However..........  I have twelve cars at various stages of the stripping & repainting process.  Unfortunately, repainting here at Chez Stuart is restricted by the weather because I have to do it in our detached garage.  We are exposed to the slightest wind, which blows dust all over the place.   Tappingfoot

Once I get all the cars painted, I will begin to detail and livery them all.  Most, though, will have the bare minimum livery.

Best regards,
Stuart.
