Amazing work Tony !
You are doing the kind of fabrication at 1:32 scale that other model makers do at much larger scales.
Fabulous.

Hi all,

sorry I've not posted in a bit, I've been battling the cold in the garage and waiting on some tools etc to help me make certain things.
I could buy more nuts and bolts but I'd rather get more experience on the little lathe and mill I've brought.
Tonight I've just finished making the fake drum brakes which I'm pretty happy with considering I'd never used a Milling machine before, boy these little Proxxon's are lovely machines. I got mine really cheap as a lady brought it thinking it was more a pillar drill. Wrench
For the drums, I turned some brass and drilled the 3/32 axle hole, machined the little groove and then decided I wanted to try and machine some fins.
This was done with a dividing head made for the Proxxon Mill.
I then bored out the George Turner wheels for my brass drum to push fit in, I will glue these eventually.
Oh and drilling and tapping the little grub screw was really rewarding, harder than it looks. Well it was for me.

I have also been working on the back suspension, I'll post a separate post for that so I don't bombard one post too much.
After seeing the proxy recently with all the George Turner cars, it's given me a big buzz to crack on.
I wanted to enter that but thought it was best not to start another build while I'm doing this, I don't want to jeopardise the quality of this one.
Thanks for looking.
