Worthing Digital Wednesday - 15 February 2023
#1

We're back at the Barn on Wednesday with another evening of Scalextric digital racing using the RCS64 race management system.

The format is the same as last month with a Nascar club car team race followed by a Pioneer Legends pairs race.

Doors open at 6.30pm for practice and our digital driving school to get new racers up to speed. The racing starts at 7pm.

Entry is £3 for adults and £2 for under-16s. We ask that all young people aged 12 or below bring a responsible adult with them.

We also ask that if you have symptoms of Covid or the 'flu, please stay away from the Barn until you are fully recovered.

There are more details of our 2023 WHO/digital season in a pdf guide available as a download from our website: www.whoracing.org.uk/who_digital

Another cracking night at the Barn,21 people turned up and 19 racers negotiated Simons execellent track

with a few sneaky radius two bends at some fast sections which caught us all out.

19 racers where headed up by a junior team leader and drivers allocated to each team based on

their driver seedings.

Four races of 15 mins, fuel in first two rounds, fuel and tyres in third and fuel tyres and weather in last..

It was very close racing at the top, only 5 laps separated the top 4 teams after an hour of racing

Well done to the winners sneaking the podium top slot by 1 lap Checkeredflag

We where missing a few regulars for the legends race and a lot of negotiating was
going on to secure second team mates...

9 pairs of drivers were split into two qualification heats, top 3 laps scores go
straight in to final, remaining pairs fight it out for the remaining 3 slots in the
final in a semi final shoot out....

Two qualification heats of 6 mins

Mike and Ash, Alex and Robert, Simon and Pete,Dean and Bobbie,Oliver and Matthew,Terry and Ollie
featured in the final

Looks like all drivers had upped their game 5 teams posting
sub 11 second laps.

These legends cars look great on track, and the sideways torquey braking action at the end of the main straight
was great to watch

Fuel strategy is crucial for a win in this class, gun ho throttle action cost the pole sitters the win Banghead

A great performance from a one of our new members Robert, paired with Alex for the win Checkeredflag

Thanks to Ash and Oliver on race control and to all helpers for set up and tear down  Thumbup
