Loved these when I saw them announced. Cool

Really like the older Nascar look and this is a great parody, with some wittily twisted sponsor logos. Only dislike is the ugly Father Christmas. What's with the weird beard?

Anyway, also available in 'Pine Green' and white, I'd have loved both but - an eagerly awaited new Legends pre-painted kit accounted for the rest of my post-Christmas budget.

I have just recieved from Pendle a BMW M4 GT3 body kit and chassis made from The Area71 Slot car.
I contacted area71 as I saw they had released this in late November and they said they had sent a order to Pendle.
Obviously we have had all sorts of trouble with postage to the Uk and I was lucky to get hold of Pendle who found their new order still boxed up.
They have been flat out and hadn't even had the chance to put this on their website let aloan unbox them.
I'm rapt as this will be made into Valentino Rossi's new car which I'll race against the Scaleauto Audi R8 I'm in the process of starting to make.
It looks like a fantastic mold to me.

Tibbs = how much work do their bodies need to flatten and will you lose detail in the process?

I've handled several of The Area 71 bodies and think they would take an incredible amount of time to try and smooth out. They are very indestructible, for lack of a better term, with regard to the resin used - it's very flexible without breaking. IMO you don't get one of these to make a shelf queen out of. It's just not going to happen.

I think it will be fine mate, I'm planning on using filler primer and it's just a matter of patience with wet sanding and filling.
Where there is scribed lines I will make sure I scribe them if the paint starts to fill them in.
I'll do a thread once I get around to this one, I'm just about to start my Scaleauto Audi R8 Rossi scheme so I'll probably do this one after that although I've got a special Fiat scratch build that might be before that. Haven't made up my mind yet Thumbup
