Current work in progress during the winter months, a Datsun 240z IMSA and Honda Integra Type R BTTC which started off as STL files of road going cars then given a cut & shut treatment to add new complete front and rears with race arches.
Given all the cold snaps only been able to do one trial print on the 240z to look at the supports needed and where the shell needs stiffening but pleased with the overall look. The Honda still finishing off and then working on how to print it whether to cut off the back (like the 240z) to print vertically or print horizontal with custom supports.

They look good.
The rear view of the Datsun reminds me of the Kemp Cobra
Then again IMSA cars do tend to look similar.

Must admit Kevan, I do like race versions of muscle cars.
One I did earlier
Camaro (more of a street rod)
And one awaiting attention (thinking GTY like the Carrera one).
Mustang

Are those 3D resin printed windows or vacformed from a 3D buck?

Vacform from a printed buck. I have since painted and smoothed the buck, next set should be better.

Whole lot of 3dp chassis' sitting under these plus 1 or 2 brass ones.
Pre 67 Sports/GT front engine class run at GT Raceways track Battlesbridge Essex on Friday 28th April this year. Class rules allow any compliant shell (resin, injection moulded or 3dp, no vac forms) with any chassis motors limited to 25K rpm max and tyres to rubber only all else is free if it fits under the shell. As you can see from the pic a very varied field from both Pound lane (SSRC) and GT members ranging from George Turner shells to Ninco, Pink Kar, MRRC and others.
I ran my AC 427 Cobra (above pictured after the event a bit battered but all good) all 3dp printed including chassis, shell, driver/interior tray, side pipes, wheel inserts, grill and front headlamps.
And the chassis.
GT Raceways will be running this event monthly check out the GT Raceways posts under Clubs for details.
Cheers
John
