There's a great post on SlotForum with some images that show using a split/snap ring to make putting the TPU tires on standard wheels easier, and to hold securely. It's pretty clever.

Nice work Chappyman
I have borrowed a resin printer and I have enjoyed playing around with it.
Have found found the tough resin more durable? I have read about using a flexible resin and mixing it with another resin to print bodies with a bit of flex.
Anyone had any experience with that? Any suggestions for a suitable flexible resin.
cheers

Yep, plenty of experience.
'tough' resin isn't really tough, it's just tougher than the basic resins and will easily break in a crash.
I mix Siraya Blu with Siraya Tenacious. Blu is much more resilient than so called 'tough' resins, you can print with Blu only and it's pretty rugged if the bodyshell is thicker than 1mm.
Blu & Tenacious are much more viscous and don't print as easily as ABS-like resins...and a fair bit more expensive than ABS-like. As with all resins you'll have to do a few validation prints to get exposure right.
When my stash of Blu/Tenacious runs out I'm going to get a bottle of Siraya Blu Nylon which shouldn't need mixing with anything.

I am going to try racing one of the tough bodies. They are much more flexible, but how that translates to durability remains to be seen.
I have also run the PVC/regular blend but that's still pretty fragile, although much better than the regular resin.
Although the surface is superior, I am not sold on resin bodies for weight and durability.

Nobody ever said resin was durable, you can't beat FDM for durability but you can't beat resin for fine detail so in the end you have to weigh up the pros and cons.
If you're a car wrecker then it's FDM, if you're a good driver and prefer sensible motors then it's resin.
I prefer resin purely for the better quality but I do have one FDM body which is a Studebaker that was printed with a 0.25mm nozzle with good detail.
