This one is a redo of a great build being further improved upon. The silver paint was added today and a dark blue outline will be added to separate the red from the silver to finish. An acquaintance of mine who passed away owned multiple Pistas that featured this color combination and I was just thinking about him at the time which led to the paint modifications.
Other changes are below:
22.5k Predator motor
20x12 NSR Supergrips replace the 19.5x13 Evos
NSR 18x8 wheels and tire combination added to the front.
Inserts are on order. Gotta decide on what color they will be. Thinking plain silver or gold even.

After the regrettable sale of my Scaleauto Subaru, I finally found another one after a two year search. This car is being built for the 2023 Touring Car Proxy in Australia. The original after a rebuild handled like a dream and this one could be a mild improvement. We will see.
Currently printing a two piece chassis for the 3D printed Mercedes W165, the design is along the lines of the red Lotus 25 which goes really well.
I intend using one of the tungsten TIG rods you see glued to the chassis next to the W165.
Rear axle will be ballraced like the current setup.
I am still wading though all the work on the house rather than playing. No doubt becoming even duller than normal.
These few days of extreme heat have meant a lull in physical exercise, I've never operated well in the heat and this is horrific. I've been spending my time making sure the animals aren't getting pre-cooked.
Have taken a few minutes to finish cutting and grinding the resins I had made. Good thing I had two of each as I messed up the Bristol. I hadn't realised how crooked it appeared. Turned out that the roofline was half a mil out one side. I discovered this after I'd taken some off the bottom of one side of one of them. Such is life.
The Masers turned out OK and I'm making two versions of the 152, the prototype and then the first racing version. There seem to have been loads of changes to the car as it developed - although it didn't develop much it seems!
As these are all to scale, they are a bit narrow but will go well on my track with Pittman 196Bs (anyone got any to spare?) No idea when they will all get finished as it's back to work soon.

New chassis feels much better.
There's a centre pivot which is 2.4mm tungsten TIG rod and a couple of pieces of the same rod either side of the pivot. Tungsten is denser than lead.
This is to CSCRA regs for Voiturettes and that guide doesn't protrude past the front of the bodyshell.
