Totally lost for words with that race.
I will however say congratulations to Max Verstappen though.

Well, our SlotRacer post on Facebook today was about a 1966 Hollywood movie - and that's exactly what we got in Abu Dhabi. Five-star edge-of-your-seat entertainment. F1 2021 should sweep the Oscars next year.
Max needed - and got - a miracle... although as soon as the Red Bull pitted under the VSC, Lewis was completely stuffed if there was a full safety car. For all their brilliant driving, it did come down to luck - but that's sport. Incredible for the winner, utterly brutal for the loser.
I also feel sorry for Nicholas Latifi and Williams... the next conversation with Mercedes about their engines could be a bit uncomfortable.

An absolute farce today, FIA need to be restructured and sorted out.
I didn't care who won the championship, both drivers deserved it for various reasons.
What I hoped to see was 2 drivers at the top of their game having a fair battle to decide the championship, of that, I feel robbed.
On the day, Max and RB didn't have the pace, Perez did a great job for the team holding up Lewis, but Max could not keep pace with Lewis.
The last minute decision by the FIA created a one lap shoot out that was only ever going one way. With one car on the least grippy set of tyres nearing the end of life, and one on new grippy rubber and engineered to be right behind it, it didn't take a rocket scientist to predict the outcome.

I thought that Lewis and Mercedes would win but on the basis that "All Change Is Good" was pleased that Max won, but then F1 shot itself in the foot again. So now I don't care.

As dear old Murray was fond of saying: " Anything can happen in Formula One and it usually does."
A lot of justified anger out there on the airwaves but my overall reaction is one of sadness. I am not in the habit of feeling sorry for multimillionaire tax exiles but I do feel for Lewis who has had a championship snatched away by an incompetent race director and also Max who will join the list of 'tainted' champions through no real fault of his own.
Spare a thought also for Masi, a man promoted beyond his talents who succumbs too readily to pressure from both Mercedes and Red Bull. He will go down in F1 history as the man who manipulated a championship whereas he is actually someone who just isn't very good at his job.
The real losers though are the F1 fans who deserved better from the so called pinnacle of motorsport.
If there was one change I could make to the rules it would be to shut the pit lane when the safety car (real or virtual) is employed. Far too many races have been won ( and now a championship) because a driver is lucky enough to be on the right section of track at the critical moment, gets a free pit stop and wins a race he would otherwise have lost.
The one bright spot of the whole dismal affair was Lewis' dignity in defeat, in sharp contrast to the brattish behaviour of Max at the previous race.
As for the chances of Mercedes overturning the result at appeal or in the courts - pigs might fly!

I agree about no chance anything will be done.
But at least we can express our dissatisfaction:

And yes, I also agree pitstops under safety car, virtual or real, should be removed.

Perhaps the next move for F1 is to follow Wrestling and become "F1 Entertainment Inc." and employ script-writers.

As Brian has said, Hamilton's dignity in the most awful circumstances was notable.
There also rumours that Lewis has asked Mercedes not to appeal, because he doesn't want to win the championship in that way.

I wouldn't be so sure that isn't already the case
