Well, I'm not sure what to say about today's race. I'm almost lost for words.

But it was surely one of the most dramatic, and most ridiculous F1 races ever. Absolute mayhem.

Crazy circuit, described as Silverstone with Monaco walls, lots of bad feeling between the teams, and lots of decisions to argue about. I've never heard of a situation where a race director actually negotiates with a team about a penalty. Absolutely bizarre.

But the end result is that we go into the final race with Max and Lewis equal on points, and that's the first time the two leading drivers have headed to the last race equal on points since 1974, I'm led to believe.

Whatever happens, any Max or Lewis fanboys will have plenty to complain about if it doesn't go their way, but surely any fan of motorsport will be watching next weekend.

Really hope I am wrong, but one possible outcome is that Verstappen takes out Hamilton in the final race and wins the world championship on basis of 9 wins to 8 wins. How do the race stewards legislate against that happening?
Max has already shown that he is sufficiently ruthless to do it.

Not Ayrton's finest moment. 
I don't see enough needle between the top 2 to see anything underhand or dangerous happening in the season finale.

More likely that this will be decided by technical and strategy issues , maybe tyres, maybe pit stops.
The pressure on the strategics and mechanics of each team must be immense.
Whatever happens, there hasn't been this much interest in f1 since Lewis' first championship.

If it comes down to drivers and how they are deployed, the 2nd drivers might be pivotal. 
If that turns out to be the case, my money is on Chekko over Valteri to make the difference to the final result.

Ronnie just called him Verstroppen. Hadn't heard that one before!

His driving was 'interesting' to say the least but at least he believes in 'racing' the same as wot I does Thumbup

Regardless of all the Max/Lewis shenanigans the FIA couldn't organise the proverbial piss up in a brewery. What possessed them to authorise a high speed street race with blind corner exits, no escape roads or facility to remove crashed cars without throwing a red flag? That track is a full scale disaster waiting to happen.

F1 was a joke yesterday. I agree with Lando, free pitstops under red flag conditions (race suspended) is wrong. Why did masi wait a couple of laps before throwing the red flag? It stinks of manipulation.
Thankfully captain chaos was punished and rightfully but what a mess that race was...a shambles!

Hundreds of Millions of dollars, after all the cancellations and "replacement" GP of the last 2 years, F1 is so short of money they will take anybody's.

I think that the tyre change under race stoppage was intended to allow for wet tyres to be fitted if the track had puddles that made it dangerous to be on dry tyres.  That rule needs re-defined.

The red flag was raised after it was clear that the barrier was damaged too much and needed to be replaced (Martin Brundle on Sky)

Replacing tyres (and other parts) was also allowed when Lewis hit the wall at Imola, if not he would have had a DNF.

So sometimes you’re lucky and sometimes you’re not. Apparently some here have a short memory …
