#31

Looks like my Porsche 550 that’s in the LeMans will not qualify for this one.

Can't quite see why not, as it is listed, but perhaps too fast  Rofl

Wavegreen Good afternoon,

abit late today as I been searching everywhere in the house for the "Hornet", but not to be found. But perhaps there is another solution, so I will discuss this with Qman by email as it is abit complicated.

                                              Class D Trans Am & NASCARS 1973-1980
What caught my eye about this class was that there is quite a diverse range of different cars listed, after 1973 mostly cars running in Trans Am were above 2 liters and many were European manufactured.I regard this as the "Joker" in the pack type class, not at all easy to pick a winner  Tease  Once again I am open to requests for others to be considered if I think they fit the basic type of car within the class and period.

Ok…, I’m in and I have a 68 Camaro for the TA.   Also the 911 RSR ran in the Trans Am I believe during this time with a 2.7 or 3 liter.  It would be a back marker compared to the other options but given my screen name, I have to put it out there.

Well of course you don't have to run that very fast Porsche 550 in class B Tease
Alternatively you could run the Camaro in Class C and the 911 RSR in Class D (as it is listed)   Thumbup

But sadly not all 3, as you are only allowed 2 cars in this Proxy.

Decisions, decisions, I think we all got a lot of thinking to do now  Sun

Class C and D for me easy decision.

Looking forward to it, I will need to figure out how to run lights for the LeMans.  And I will need to get better at editing

I wouldn't jump too early into Le Mans, as I will make some changes most probably with that event, just to cause some mischief  Rofl
And didn't really like the "penalty" aspect of the last event, maybe having 2 classes with and 2 classes without lights, which might be a compromise I am willing to make, especially as we now will be only choosing 2 cars for these events, but I could specify that you have to run at least one of the 2 cars in one of the "with lights" class  Idea
But all abit premature at the moment as we still have this one and the next Proxy for the summer for single seaters to develop.

However if you are into fitting lights in general I can recommend the ones I bought from a company called Z-Machine Electric Motorsport. They are really easy to install, are all wired up and fit even the smaller slot cars quite well. I bought mine through a French Retailer called "Slot Car Union" on the internet.
You can have lights which stay on after de-slotting, lights which flash when de-slotting (as 2 of mine were) and even a set which have a additional exhaust light feature, if you want to be really flash  Sun

Hmmm, decisions, decisions. Think it may be class C & D for me.  Class C is a no-brainer.  Class D would allow my proxy regular Pantera to travel the county again (after a few tweaks following its mediocre Le Mans performance).  Would love to enter my XC Falcon but it's slightly disadvantaged by it's 1978 date, as it's proportions would be far better matched to the like of the class C Camaro's, Mustangs and Javelins. In class D my Falcon is likely to get decimated by a field of the "winner's favorite" Porsche 914's.
