There are two slot swap meets in November, one at Gaydon and one in Orpington.
Both are about the same distance for me to travel, so any thoughts on which might be better? I will not be looking to spend lots of money and my interest areas are older Scalextric (Up to digital era) and MRRC.
Suggestions and advice would be much appreciated as I will not be able to attend both shows.

Firstly - there will be a lot of the same people selling at both, although Gaydon will attract a few more smaller vendors from the Midlands and North of England. And because the two are so close together, Orpington might be a bit more 'London & South East' oriented this time.
Phil Smith published this preliminary list for Orpington on
Facebook...

I've asked Roger Barker to send us a list for Gaydon, which I'll post when I get it. I know that Jesús Cobo from SRC is coming over with some new stuff to show.
If I were choosing one for this month - I'd definitely go to Gaydon and then book a trip to Orpington on 10 April 2022 and back to Gaydon next May. And don't forget the NSCC Milton Keynes swapmeet on 20 Feb

Never been to Orpington but the Gaydon one is nice as the museum is there as well. With any luck there will be a meet up of a brand o car you like as well...

Hello Baz,
As above, Phil Smith would probably have stuff that interests you. He is also a good source for older spares.
Check his web site and if there are any specific bits you want, message him in advance.

Just to clarify: Phil organises the Orpington event and has done for many years. His ID is "scaleslotcars.com"

Now what brand of car are we talking about? Slots or full size? Slots, well I definitely like Scalextric, full size I like Lancia (I have an email address that hints at this) but I also like SAAB and someone mentioned Wartburg.
There is very convoluted link between SAAB and Wartburg, any takers on what that link might be?
Thanks for the advise on the shows.

Actually the first time was the Porsche Club and the last time was the Allegro!!!!
Seeing the Allegro in real-life is one of the few times that seeing when it was indeed WORSE than you heard..

Allegro could have so easily been the English Alfa Sud, I heard that the 1750's actually went quite well.
What about that SAAB/Wartburg connection?
I actually quite like the Wartburg Knight, I have travelled in those, way better than a Trabi which IMO is downright dangerous.
