Here is my track, it is named Kempston Park as I live in Kempston, Bedfordshire, a play on a horse racing track with a similar name. It ws built with 4 lanes but I rarely have that many racing so I have decided to remove the inside lane to allow more room for scenery.

As my first step towards scenery I have bought the Magneticracing Reims multi pack:

The track is very much a work in progress. I was motivated to get the race management system installed when I agreed to host a proxy race as part of a series organised by Colin at

The shed that houses the track is 12' x24' and lives at the bottom of my garden.
Cheers,
John

Hello John,
Shed looks "palatial".
Will it be a Reims themed layout or are they just nice buildings?

Nice track.
I like the look of the Reims multipack you've got yourself - and thanks for the links too. Very useful.

Hi Leo, we'll see how it evolves but I'm aiming for a 50's or 60's feel.
Cheers,
John

Very impressive!
And will look even better with two lanes and scenery.
How long is track length?

I've thought about it. In my opinion, the track is too long for 2 lanes. I think it would be too easy for the cars to get too far split up. With 3 lanes you're more likely to have another car not too far ahead to chase or behind to try and get away from.
Cheers,
John

Hello again John,
Sorry for the interrogation but I just realised that your circuit runs counter-clock-wise - was that intentional?

Hi Leo,
It can run in either direction at the flick of a switch, 2 tracks for the price of one.. When I filmed the video I just had cars running round at low speed to rubber in the track. I had them running in both directions at different times and hadn't given it any thought while I was filming.
Cheers,
John
