Cars bought by members in 2021

Hello Anthony,

Definitely correct.

Its like the the so-called Lancia 037, the actual vehicle name is "Lancia Rally", the development project code was 037.  Thankfully the Delta S4 was correctly identified as such and not by its project code 038.
I wasn't going to mention this but...
In the Lancia Delta context "integrale" should always be written all in lowercase.

Hi Anthony,

Leo is absolutely correct.
But, maybe you are confused by Graham Robson's Rally Giants series book about the Lancia Delta 4WD/Integrale.
On page 71 it says below the photo of Markku Alen's Lancia Delta Integrale winning RAC Rally 1988 (startno 2):"On its first and only RAC Rally, the Delta HF 4WD model won the event, driven by Markku Alen".
That is the wrong photo. There should have been a photo of Juha Kankkunen's RAC Rally 1987 winning Lancia Delta HF 4WD (startno 4).

I have always been a fan of Le Mans and Ferrari,

Way back in the 80's I used to build 1/43rds white metal models (as Tony Knows) and loved these 2 cars.

These 2 were produced by MMK on a very limited basis for Circuit Routiers in France. Not cheap but hey you only live once. One disappointment is the Ferarelle car was a short kamm type  back and not the long sweeping tail of the Bellancauto version (although both were entered by team Bellancauto).

Not bad mechanicals - Sideways chassis and internals.

'Little & Large'.

As I've said before, I just love the quirkiness of the little NSU and this has to be the nicest iteration to my mind. 'Born in the USA', this one arrived on British shores without customs or handling charges. Yes A gamble that paid off, making it cheaper than some of the more usual versions available in the UK! (It seemed to have gone through some sort of intermediary process, as postage was way lower than any other U.S. seller and it arrived in UK labelled shipping materials. In fact, before unwrapping it, I wondered what an earth it was as I didn't have any outstanding UK purchases. Odd.)

The MAN truck completes a quartet and is the most colourful of the bunch. Factory described as a 'Special edition', it came 'Used' from a UK dealer but is in exceptional condition and again was a good buy. Similar trucks at the time were only available new from Spain and were selling for a good third to two fifths more, with exorbitant postage on top! Obviously from a collection, it came complete with its pristine sleeve and crystal case.

Both are just gorgeous.  Wrench

Wasn't sure where to put this - 2021 buys, What's on your bench or the B St E club page. Logic says 2021 buys to start with so .....

A bulk eBay purchase.

I love the Legends but can't bring myself to race the factory finished and decorated cars too hard yet, so when these popped up I had to try to get them. They were advertised seperately but the seller was open to do a deal for all six. Ideal, as ultimately I had the B St E club's six lane track in mind, though they might never get there Bigsmile . They are just as likely to be used analogue or digitally at home.

Plans are to disassemble, detail paint, 'tune' and reassemble, with probably new graphics if I spot something suitable.

The blue car will probably get a black hood as there seems to be a bit of a paint issue there, while the white car is missing the door bars and one mirror, although the latter is taped underneath. Other than that they're fine, great colour choices, just what I was looking for and would have done myself.

Looking forward to a good few hours with them on the workbench  Wrench

I had been thinking about getting a pair of Revoslots for a while now, but nothing had yet sold me, initially the Playstation Porsche GT2 was calling, but that sold out before I had the funds to buy it and a partner.

Then I saw these and loved the pair, those liveries really suit the GT1 better than any I had seen Revoslot do before IMO, so as soon as stock arrived I had them ordered :)
They look even better in the flesh, and although the wheels are done differently to my usual 1/32 fare, I think they look better for it as they are much closer to scale sizes with the rim on the outside.

I look forward to blue-printing these with a couple of tweaks: Some softer tyres (I ordered a pack each of Revoslot G25's and F22 "air" tyres to try with them).
As they run small cans and weigh in at around 100g, I also thought a change of gearing would be beneficial for my track, so some 11mm pinions were ordered to bring the ratio from 2.75:1 to 3.0:1 to (hopefully) brake better and be more suited to my home track.
Finally a nice Staffs 1.5mm hex driver was added to the order so I could take the wheels off !

As the only "Limited edition" thing appears to be the box, maybe some of my outlay can be recouped by selling that to collectors  Rofl

I am hoping for some relief from my sciatica soon so I can get to the mancave for a tinker, I have a few cars (mine and a club mates) that need setting up.
