Howdy Leo,

A huge thankyou goes to Andy first and foremost with the help to sort this out on the forums here, his input is greatly appreciated.

I am all new to this writing up and posting of results, I know I have a long ways to go, especially with my photography  Cool

As I race at four tracks (including my own) the way I have added the individual tracks I think works (Andy agrees) I am trying to do what I can to keep the slot car industry and hobby moving along, I think posting results and a bit of a write up is a good start.

As for the Enduro Event, I thoroughly enjoyed the 12hours of racing on three tracks, unfortunately we did have to cut the last race short as the guys from Sydney wanted to head back that same night. We should have cut the races at the first track to three minute heats rather than four minutes, oh well, something for next time.

The spreadsheet I wanted to do to see who won and it is clear that the Mid North Coast slotters retained the Title for the second year running,, woohoo   Rofl looking through the times it was pretty well close all along the event, it feels great to take a few podium places myself against way better racers.

Hopefully more events to come

What a great format - I really like how you mixed up the tracks and the classes! Sounds like a perfect day of racing and socialising Thumbup

That was the way we intended it to go, race all the same classes on each track that we normally do in the rotation with us four private track owners in the area. Made for a decent and long day, especially for the guys that drove up from Sydney, they left Sydney at 4am and then they drove straight back when we called it at 10:30pm, they didn't get back home until just after 2am... now that is dedication to the hobby.

Next event like this I think travelling needs to be done on Friday, spend Saturday and half Sunday racing with the return home Sunday afternoon, we shall drive that road when it comes around next.

A bit sad that more of the Sydney boys couldn't make the day though. At least from this event being my first in the hobby, I have some ideas now how it can be improved, well easier for all, such as pre-ordering food the night before ready for the lunch next day, have a few more class cars prepped for those inevitable failures on the day etc. it was great to see another person, veteran to the hobby, race with a few of my own cars such as the Revoslot Dodge Viper, this thing had been behaving up on and off so it got sent to the sin bin, when it was needed for a quick replacement, the damn thing never skipped a beat, John drove the wheels off it for the next 10 hours, showed me that it isn't always the car at fault, it is more so the nut behind the controller who is responsible for the cars' poor performance  Rofl

I thoroughly enjoyed watching my car being raced by a veteran, even he was impressed with it, I was loathed to replace the braids but they were completely shot before the racing, afterwards they were literally falling to bits, so we shall see how it goes next week under race conditions, so far it is behaving on my track, but that is today, come tomorrow it will have another attitude towards me  Rofl

I took a lot out of the day and hope to be involved again with another event like this. It is true that this hobby and industry have some bloody terrific people involved.

This week's racing notification

This week we return to Shenanigans Raceway, Taree. I've sent out the text late yesterday 14th June and have got five racers saying they will be in attendance, with Joe unable to make it this week, Joe has one heck of a social life... so we will be running on three lane setup.

This will make the racers happy as that means we drop the Yellow Lane, the hardest lane with two 90 degree hairpins that everyone has a passionate hate for  Rofl

I've given thought to and mentioned a few times that perhaps I should add the Yellow lane and drop the Green lane to add some difficulty and different racing.

Racers in attendance this week will be:
- Charlie,
- Jeffery,
- Johnno (myself)
- Lindsay, and
- Paul,

three racers and two marshals. For further information for this weeks racing, head on over to Shenanigans Raceway thread at: Shenanigans Raceway thread

Icons8-maintenance-filled-16

I'm changing things a bit with the weekly racing write-up that includes some house keeping, generation of Logo's for main club and addition of a new racing thread at slotracer.online forums.

During discussions with Andy, it was decided that our small group could be loosely called a 'Club' in general terms so I got our group listed and working, woohoo thanks Andy.

Under the default Your Club thread you will find:
NSW Slot Car Group, this thread will contain general posts and discussions from other slot car tracks, currently you will see some random posts and racing results that were placed in there as a test to see how things would work, from 1st June 2021 the main thread will be as mentioned above.

I welcome everyone to the Club Concierge ;) and hopefully some great, in-depth discussions, and there is no such thing as a silly question if you don't know the answer, so ask away. Any issues, please PM me so we can sort them out.

You can find the Club thread/s at:
https://slotracer.online/community/forum...php?fid=54

SlotRacer Forum / Racing / Your Club / NSW Slot Car Group under that you will find the individual tracks that will contain their racing results (as directly below) and other information that the track owner would like to post at their leisure, where you can ask the track owner questions about their track, their cars, etc.

The sub-threads that you will see from there are:
- Bluehaven Raceway, Old Bar
- Old Bar Raceway, Old Bar
- Shenanigans Raceway, Taree
- Undara Circuit, Forster

In our small group, we race:
- small track, Old Bar Raceway, Old Bar
- large track, Undara Circuit, Forster
- small track, Bluehaven Raceway, Old Bar
- large track, Shenanigans Raceway, Taree

we then repeat depending on racer availability for racers and marshals each week. Such as today for Shenanigans Raceway we are one member down so we will be dropping the yellow lane and running on the other three lanes giving as two marshals.

Tentative Racing Calendar*:
- 16th June Shenanigans Raceway, Taree
- 23rd June Old Bar Raceway, Old Bar,
- 30th June Undara Circuit, Forster,
- 7th July Bluehaven Raceway, Old Bar,
- 14th July my track in Taree

*dependant on racer availability.

We had a informal discussion about the cars, classes, mods, upgrades etc last week along with a discussion about adding a new class heat to our group.

It was agreed that the new class would be the Slot.it Can-Am, we have had two events with this class already and it is now officially in the line-up.

The rules and regulations were agreed upon and the updated rules and regulations are attached to this post as a PDF document.

Thanks to Charlie for writing them and presenting them to us all.

Due to 'Stay at home' orders there will be no racing this week at Shenanigans Raceway

Happy slotting, scratch building or even you there, yes you  Rofl  get out here and say g'day to all here

Back to the track tweaking and testing, hopefully last coat of paint done today. Until the 25th August 2021 should see us return to last postponed Scheduled race at Shenanigans Raceway.
