Nostalgia Funny Car - Round 1

Rebecca saw off David with a routine 0.154 second win. Her ET 0.824.

Nostalgia Funny Car - Rounds 2 & 3
Bill had a bye in round 2 and clocked a 0.837 solo run.
Dylan & Noah faced Sue in the first race. Sue had by far the better start and the two youngsters had to pedal hard to claw their way back. Who'd won? The scoreboard gave it to the Pontiac by 0.14 seconds - the winning ET 0.833. Dylan & Noah would face Bill in the only semi-final.
Rebecca and Clives' Mustangs battled it out to decide who'd go straight to the final from the bottom part of the ladder... It was an incredibly close race - the two running side-by-side down the strip. It looked like Rebecca had the edge... and she had, by a mere 0.007 of a seconds - their ETs 0.833 and 0.840.
Round 3 - semi final
The two classic Aurora-bodied AW chassis lined up and burst down the strip. Bill had a small lead, but the Pontiac closed the gap and overtook... Had the pass happened before the line? It had - Dylan & Noah won by 0.013 seconds - their ET 0.820. A shock defeat for Bill, meaning it's Pontiac vs Ford in the final.

Nostalgia Final
The second and sixth qualifiers lined up for the final race of the Winter Series...
This is what happened...
No surprises...
Bill got away and stayed ahead...
Winning by 0.029 seconds...
Congratulations to Bill - a great-looking car and the fastest on the strip today...
Here's the ladder...
And here are the stats...
That's your lot for the Winter Series Finale - I hope you've enjoyed it.
The next action on the Eighth Mile is not until 18-19 May... but I will be getting your cars back asap and all the Season 2021-2 regs posted (there aren't really any changes, just a couple of clarifications). There are also two South Coast HO Dragster fanzines to finish and get published. No Rally-Sprint distractions, so expect things done in the next few days.
Meanwhile, here are all this weekend's winners...
