Cars bought by members in 2020

Another lot of cars for October, this time four Ninco Porsche 997's for the class we race. Thanks Electric Dreams

Now for some tuning and omg the tyres on one car are disgusting, from inner to outer edge on both tyres is a 2mm difference, one tyre even has a bead like addition, no doubt a casting dag hanging off it... what the hell Ninco surely you must have some quality control though looking at this obviously not.. before tyres replaced the wheels were trued, the left rear wheel being an actual oval shape... really?

How the hell can a supposed circle become oval in a mould? After wheel truing both shitty Ninco supplied tyres have been tossed and replaced immediately with MJK's.

Can anyone offer any other tweaking suggestions for these cars?
Thanks in advance Johnno

Just what you need for a Rally Sprint Proxy event...my first 4x4!

A bargain from a certain used slot car site, and included a digital chip which needs to come out for use elsewhere, but which made it even more of a bargain.

I love puttering with gears

Heck of a coincidence CMOT (Brian) covering the 2006 NSCC Club Ninco Megane in the latest episode of the NSCC history as a mint boxed example is on it's way as my November 2020 purchase. Photos of the cased example from the web, the first (uncased) one being from Brian's article, with his permission  Wavegreen

I have got myself a couple of Scalextric Rally cars ready for the Rally Sprint Proxy event.
These are the first 1/32 cars that I have purchased for several years.

I just love this body shape and livery...which will be transferred onto a podded chassis for possible National GT3 Championship entry

And now I own 0.667% of the limited edition production of this model.

Very cool looking car Jeremy.  Thumbup

The Bellett GTR was a very common car. NOT! We've never even heard of these in Canada let alone seen one. What better way to get to know a car  than to buy a model of it? Soon to be a slot car.

A few new cars, all models from my yoof. First a couple from the late 70s...

I am really enjoying this new Capri Mk3 from Scalextric - looks great and is surprisingly excellent on the track.

The Team Slot Alpine arrived just too late to be prepared and sent to the Wye Valley proxy race. Even had it arrived in time, I don't think I would have sent it! It's one of three Team Slot cars that are sitting on my desk being drooled over...

These two from the 80s...

The Ypres Rally was cancelled, but this cheered me up.

And I finally got this to go with my Camel Delta. It is utterly sensational to look at, but I do need to get all three rally cars on track very soon.

Hi Andy,

That Alpine looks really good.
Is its rear axle straight?
At my Calberson Alpine it wasn't

Went to Time Tunnel Models today and bought two SCX Compact cars.

The Audi is available in two WRX liveries.
