Perfection is taking things rather too far I suspect.  I'm just this guy y'know.

The two Ferraris that I did for Bordo have been sitting in the box for many months. Took one out this morning and something seemed wrong so I looked at the photos of the thing and I'd managed to leave the screens off Tease

Never noticed before and I must have looked at them many times. Old age probably.

I'll definitely be hanging on to the big one but you never know, after Bordo, I may be feeling that I have enough open wheelers Sun

Just let me know please - sure we can arrange something :)

Package arrived from New Zealand this morning. Not bad, only three weeks or so.

John's (Munter's) inserts are terrific. I was expecting white ones so assumed I would have to spray them but I reckon they look better as they are in grey - better in the flesh than in the photo - so just stuck them straight in. A perfect fit in my brother-in-law's wheels, pretty accurate turning.

The inserts make the car look complete.  Thumbup

I posted over in 'what's on your bench' that I had hacked a Scalex Porsche.

Underneath all that 'orrible whale tail and printing, the basic shape seems quite good to me. Working - sort of - bits have been filed in the appropriate waste basket so I reckon a chassis might be in order.

It looks like I have a spare Pittman 196B from some sort of red heap open wheeler thingie so I will probably use that. I'm not really into Porsches but this one can keep the little Jouef 911 I have company.

Here's a 1/64 scale Lotus 33. I make the monocoque body kits. This example was built by a friend who builds them up and resells them as RTR cars.

And a 1/64 Chaparral 2H kit:

And then my personal favorite car of all time:

As nothing is happening slotwise now, I thought I'd list the bodies I've made.

Not sure how interesting it will be to anyone else but I was quite surprised how many there are!
