Cars bought by members in 2020
#91

Today I got myself a Ninco Subaru and Citroen. Plus the set they came in :)

Complete with a lap counter :)

I am very pleased with the set, was looking for some snow track. Will take it to my German address so I can play a bit during the week when I am there for work.

Now hoping I will be able to drive there soon  Tappingfoot

Second October purchase. Another MSC car, the RS200.

Sold as new but unboxed it went for what I would consider a fair price for a used car. However, I was delighted when it arrived to find it was new, mint, boxed, complete with the small and separate BEGA decal sheet. Only issue, if you could call it that, which made it NOT 'mint boxed' was that the clear panel was missing from one end of the card sleeve!

One problem this second RS200 has confirmed though, is that there is 'something going on' with the wheelbase.

On the drivers side (LHD) the front and rear wheels centre nicely in the arches.

On the other side, can I get the wheels centred? Front yes, rear, no way.

I had the same problem with my track car but thought it was a one-off. Clearly not. Anyone else noticed this?

It's not the chassis. It sits flat and square on the set-up block. It's the body. One rear wheelwell is about 1-1.5mm out of line with the other - and this is on both bodies!

Nice find T-D, I have the Hornby/Scalextric version. Although I tend to avoid tobacco brands, the Belga livery is too appealing to resist.

SRC Lancia delta S4 arrived today. Many thanks to MRE for great service.
I bought the full detail model that comes with the auxiliary lamp pods but its not obvious how they fit without drilling holes.
Runs very well although the low ride and offset motor means that it catches on some of the joints of my Ninco track (raised rails).
Suspension front and back, not sure if it is adjustable, I will be leaving it alone.
Excellent detailing outside and in - Marvellous!

Hi Leo,

Please, don't drill holes in your beautiful Lancia. Sweating
You only need to remove both grey pins near the front grill.
The lamp pod pins fit in these holes and the square cooling holes, just above the spoiler.

Here is a video about how itś done:

Hello Hub, thank you for the linky -excellent.
It was the upper mounting that had me worried the pin looked like it was cast in to the body.

I had planned to check on Spanish sites for info - I think that ultimately I would not have drilled the body.

That is a relief.

I added the lamp pods to the body and removed them thereafter, because Lancia didn't use the lamp pods in combination with covered inner head lamps.
At night they removed the inner head lamp covers and added both lamp pods. The inner head lamp covers of the SRC Lancia are fixed to the body.

Correct: At the start of a special stage in daylight.                                                             Now the extra lamp pods have been added, but the inner head lamps are still covered.
Inner head lamp covers and no extra lamp pods.
