This is a nice kit from Pendle. It's a fairly simple build.
French blue.
The chassis.
Body posts installed.
The car is complete.
The aluminum chassis Bugatti pictured below came in first place against a field of all brass/wire chassis cars, white Auto Union excepted. The white Auto Union came in 3rd. It too has an aluminum chassis. Another one of my strange scratch-builds.
A well made aluminum chassis can easily earn it's place on the podium.
Thank you very kindly for looking.

What a great looking field. Congrats on your finish result -precise simplicity is to be rewarded.

Beautiful grid of cars and scenic track.
Could you post some more photos of the track, please?

Thank you very kindly, Mickey, Jason, and Rallyhub.
It's not my track. It belong to another club member and it's called "The Ring". I can take more pics next Tuesday night when we race again.
I own the blue Porsche 550 Spyder at the far end, and the green Rover BRM at the near end. The rest of the cars are owned by other club members. It was a fun evening. The Rover came in 1st in "slow-sports car". Everyone else is running brass/wire chassis.

I used to work at a custom automotive shop. Guys used to come through our door and boast how fast their cars were in the 1/4 mile. But never provided a 1/4 mile time-slip to back it up. "MacDonald's time-slips" we used to call them behind the counter.
I just did the very same thing. My humble apologies. This is a link to the race results I mentioned above in the thread. It's a small private club of scratch-builders. The home built club site is basically for race announcements, registration, and results only. No need to join Scratch32 unless you plan to race with us in Toronto. Right now the club is maxed out due to Covid. I came to SlotRacer Online to join the cool forums.
This is just for proof of a podium finish.
It's also where I'm getting the track photo's from.
