F1 2022
#41

I used to follow Johnnie Herbert and recall he often did better in races compared to qualifying.

Just checked, and his last win was in the 1999 European GP where he had qualified 14th in his Stewart Ford.

Singapore next week, my interest has waned to the point I preferred to see the results after the race before deciding to watch or not, I'm still waiting for this promised 'closest racing for years' to start.

Don’t worry - only six more races to go!

And only 24 races to endure in 2023  Bigsmile

At three Grand Prix a month, from the beginning of March to end of November, I’ll be picking the half dozen ‘crown jewels’ I want to watch and then catching the 5-minute YouTube highlights of the rest. And I’m not happy the Spa 24 hours has been bumped from its traditional weekend by F1. No respect.

Agree on Spa... the new endurance series is actually looking very promising what with Peugeot and others coming back,...

After yesterdays race, if I was Sergio Perez, next year I would be racing for myself only  Bigsmile

Well done George, A fantastic drive  Thumbup

Best race of the year by miles, interest has been reignited, at last we saw three teams racing and the best bit for me was seeing MB actually capable of overtaking 'faster' cars.

It was only a matter of time for GR to get his first win...of many.  He was 'on it' this weekend, sprint race win, race win, fastest lap, no luck or rule bending or outside intervention just a great winners drive.

Selfish sulky & reckless...you know who I'm referring to...karma comes to all no matter how important you think you are.

MB was the fastest car on the track yesterday, and Lewis didn‘t overtake George, so where did MB overtake faster cars then? Not in the race in saw.

Agree that it is good to have three equal teams next year, it could be close racing to the end of the season.

Yes, a good race, nice to see a new winner, and hopefully we have three competitive teams in 2023.

Both RB and Ferrari have been 'faster' nearly all season and are the cars I'm referring to but they may not have been yesterday  Thumbup
