Ha ha Mr M.

Guessed it must be you.

Bomb proof Mk2 Granada Minster,  Armstrong Siddley Sapphire Hearse,  World Final Daimler DK400, 1964 Mercury Comet painted as the Dukes of Hazard, the original Mr Material.

Back when Banger racing was seriously cool.

This news is seriously interesting ,another common ground ,perhaps the subject of its own thread  .I wish I could find some photos but after 3 marriages stuff gets lost or destroyed !!!!

Blimey Pip, considering we're talking about nearly 35 years ago, you've got a better memory than me.

Steve, here's a photo from Aldershot about 6 years before it's demise. Apart from the figure of 8 track it probably won't look much different to how you remember it.

Cheers Mr M that.brings back some memories ,although the wet cold winter evenings rolling about in the mud in the paddock stick in the mind more that the warm sunny ones !!!!

I do remember Dave Pierce ? 320 red and gold top in the super stock .

Mr M , that is Cool Thumbup

Daimler Majestic Major, with the red cross of English Champion, and I bet that was just a normal Thursday night for you.

I've got a dvd of your English Championship win at  Foxhall Heath raceway, Ipswich.   But it took you weeks to get the win as the lap scorer missed you, correct........

Don't want to derail Steve's topic too much, but yeah, that's pretty much it. The Majestic wasn't a Major though, just a common or garden Bigsmile 6-cylinder one.

And I'm glad the ITV cameras were there so the result could be checked.

Back to your regular slush casting programming.
