seriously been looking at this HRW event for a while
great thread and great info , thanx BARacer
i have already researched the car and everything else i would use ( frantically saving the pennies )
think i need a few more proxies under my belt 1st though
but 2022 could be a possibility
same as you though , i do not have access to a wood track to do any testing , so the idea is on the back burner atm
hopefully lockdown will end soon and we all can access clubs again ( and i can actually join one !!!!! )
and maybe then my research can become reality

Kev, I also do not have access to a routed track.  For 7 years of proxy racing I’ve had the opportunity just a handful of times to test on a routed track. You still be competitive, winning is a different story.  Good Luck and I look forward to competing against you.

ditto mate

things are slowly starting to ease over here ( pandemic wise )
so hopefully progression can be made soon
car is built but zero testing
still thinking 2022 is more realistic

If this year's series is anything to go by, registration for next year's series will be by July, with cars needing to arrive in North America in early November.

I will most likely be posting the 2022 GT3 registration thread by late May / early June as we wind down the 2021 GT3 Season which is going onto Race #9 now.  The season will start early November as BARacer indicated.

I will be posting a season end video of the top ten cars with a look at what's under the body.  This video will be very informative for all of us to learn from and to possibly use the information to build our own cars.  I hope to see you builders enter the GT3 Series soon!   Remember there is a "shoot out" event to get into the GT3 series (27 car maximum) so there is no harm to enter a car and see how it performs against all the other potential entrants.

Kev/Oxo

So that makes two of us against the world!

I'm hoping to get to RaceWars next month for some wood track running and then I am sending my car off to one of the current racers to get an assessment on how they think it goes.

The devil is in the details....take your time.  I'm glad you both have jumped into the GT3 pool!

BTW like Chris said give those axle spacers away to your competitors!  They are more like lock washers than spacers!     Bigsmile
