Fly 2022 models - coming soon!
#21

A car due to arrive very soon is this very lovely Renault 5 Turbo from the 1980 Tour de Corse...

It's a limited edition of 350 - reference E2042 - produced for Barcelona-based retailer SlotPerafita, who you can email for more details at SLOTPERAFITA@GMAIL.COM

Fly have just released a raft of new models, including the Gitanes Renault 5 pictured above and this rather tasty Tour de France Auto Porsche Carrera RS...

The Porsche - Ref A2037 - features a unique 3D-printed front bumper and spoiler section, giving the Fly model the shape and poise of the original car...

Although the shape is stunning, that yellow should be more of a gold colour - that's the shade seen in all the period images, on diecast models and replica full-size cars. There are a few decal errors, with the Peêt-à-Porter typo jumping out somewhat...

A shame, because the car - driven by Guy Fréquelin and Jacques Delaval at the 1976 Tour de France Auto (they crashed and didn't finish) - is a stunning example of 1970s Porsche machinery and very desirable for fans of French motorsport from that era. Here it is in action in 2016...

The A2037 Porsche is available now in the UK from Pendle Slot Racing and Weevils Slot Cars - plus other Fly retailers over the next few days.

More Renault 5 Turbos have arrived too...

Fly A2039 Renault 5 Turbo Rally Villa de Llanes 1983 G.Ortiz / M.J. Cabal.

A Ragnotti Renault added to the Fly African Rally collection...

Fly A2015 Renault 5 Turbo Rally Tour Cote D´Ivoire 1982 J. Ragnotti / J.M. Andrie.

And the TEAM21 Monte Carlo twin pack...

All these models have arrived in the UK and are available from Pendle Slot Racing, Weevils Slot Cars and will be with other Fly stockists very soon.

Fly has been squeezing as many versions as possible from its existing moulds for years now.
Although I like the R5 Turbos, the wait for the new Subaru Legacy, Ford Sierra Cosworth 4x4 and Datsun 240Z seems like an eternity. Tappingfoot

No news about those new moulds, but there are a couple of special edition re-liveries just arrived...

Fly E2047 BMW M3 E30 #5 Subida De Jaizkibel Hillclimb 1999 - Dani Sordo. RRP £57.95 Available now

This one looks great in its special edition box...

The Sordo BMW is an exclusive edition for Cocheslot, but available from most Fly retailers, including Pendle Slot Racing in the UK.

A second car is the 2022 Foroslot limited edition car...

Fly E2046 Porsche 911 Carrera RS #5 Rally Costa Brava 1974 - Juan Fernández / Esteban Rabat. RRP £57.95. Available now

This is a must for Escuderia Montjuïc fans and collectors - the black Porsche was driven to runner-up spot in the final round of the 1974 Spanish rally championship, the Rally Internacional Costa del Sol, based around Almería. This car is also available from most Fly retailers.

This 1967 Porsche has been rushed out as a tribute to Vic Elford, who died in March of this year...

Fly have produced several Elford cars - mostly Porsches - over the years. This one is the works 911R that he shared with Hans Herman and Jochen Neerpasch to win the 1967 edition of the 84-hour Marathon de la Route (formerly the Liège-Rome-Liège rally) at the Nürburgring. Reference E2056, the model is available now.

Another Fly model just arrived is one of the Gaugemaster-Fly Le Mans Edition cars...

This the ELM03 Ferrari 250 GTO that raced at the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1962, driven by owner Fernand Tavano and André Simon. Only 200 of each of these Le Mans cars will be produced...
