Alan is way ahead of me in the car development stage. This was the first run for my Civic.
It ran faultlessly. Had a few off and nothing detached externally or internally, so solid build. Will take it apart to see how the mechanicals fared and will check tolerances and tighten everything up. Rear body screw fell out a couple of times, so just need to think about dealing with that and securing all screws to the settings I want.
Very happy with my Uncle Mike urethanes from Worthing. It cornered nicely although I wasn't pushing it hard as it was a looong walk round the track to put it back on. Added a bit of blutac to the front of the pod late on which made it feel more planted at the front, so just need to convert that to lead. Will then assess where it sits in the weight/balance spectrum, but not planning to alter it now away from the track.
So basically, placing my trust in the architecture and quality of my build...

Great stuff you guys! I finished 2nd in that Australian Touring Proxy in 2017 or maybe it was 2018.....and yes that proxy has heavy heavy cars. The track surfaces I remember really wore down your tires too so don't send in low profile tires! Good luck you two!

2nd eh Rob...
So completed the due diligence on the Civic following the RaceWars outing: -
- Replaced the standard pod screws with suspension screws with flexible washers and nuts. They won't undo in a hurry.
- Found some veeeery long body screws which will allow me to introduce float without risk of them falling out. Will block up the recesses in the chassis for the screws with bluetac.
- Have replaced the screw fixings for the wires into the guide with brass eyelets, glued in place.
- Have secured a piece of lead on the front of the pod in lieu of the blutac used for testing.
- Have taped the front of the screen in position as this came loose after the numerous offs testing.
And I think that is it done. Not necessarily bulletproof, but hopefully it will last the series in one piece.

Ouch!
£18.55 postage to Australia International tracked.
No idea why the UK post office web site gives one price and the post office counter gives another...
Bit the bullet. Paid the money. The girl is on her way down under.

Will be joining you soon with a package heading down under. Perhaps we can share the return postage!
Had a little dip in confidence having watched you top and tail your set up at RaceWars. However, having spent a couple of evening 'proxifying' my Civic (i.e. gluing or screwing everything down), and reminding myself about all the thought and planning that went into the build, I am now feeling more comfortable that I have put together the car I wanted to put together, and that I have built it to the best of my ability and hopefully it will stay that way for the race series.
So just need to drop some oil onto the bushings, fix the body screws in place, and box it up.
Next stop Australia...let the adventure commence!

Jeremy,
Don't sweat it.
I'm sure it will all go wrong when faced with a pack of rabid Aussie cars on unknowable Aussie Tracks

Let's see if we can share the return postage. There may be an event on the south coast I could attend, or maybe you could come up here to see one or two of the local clubs.

Well...
Went on the Royal Mail app, and £18.55 tracked it is.
Went down to my local little Post Office and I was offered: -
£8 something non-tracked
£14.15p tracked
So went for the latter. Looking at the receipt, it's gone International Tracked Small Parcel (181g).
And before you ask...that weight is the 180g car with a 1g address label stuck on it. That'll show them what a heavy car is!

Wonder what the Aussie's would think if you sent a lightweight 70 gram car. That would be fun to see the reaction.

Brumos did last year...(65g); it weighed less than the weight on the rear tyres of the car in second place!
