...and the 4th incarnation of the reciprocator for a RSM3/4...this is a RSM3 but modified the file to suit a club mates RSM4.  The mod is merely two spacers for the eccentric roller clamps.

...forgot to add, the pulley is 3D printed and only 16mm diameter so I can true small diameter tyres.

Liking that Hoonicorn Kevan, how much does the body weigh ?

Currently my WIP is a brief from Brian to re chassis the old much used and abused cut and shut version that I believe came with the vans.
The novelty for me, is I have to complete them with a spending cap  Bigsmile
Luckily I have around 8 or so of the Scaleauto universal chassis sitting in the spares boxes doing nothing that can be used as the start point.
They will be kept inline with Scalextric stock motors in a slot it pod and things are shaping up nicely so far. Sun

28g but could easily be lightened with the usual grinding.

I drove it for the first time on Thurs and it's a flyer with a NSR Shark 25.

These two Sofas white kits is what I'm at ,at the moment .
First time I've bought two identical kits ,but they were needed for our G.O.L.D. meetings as we run two of the same cars on two lanes in a rotation format .Both the chassis are already built ,but the bodies need assembly and there's a lot of parts and no instructions .
I think they turned out ok although one I'm sure is faster than the other

Just running in the motor for a new build...

I have been refusing to get into the rally car class by choice. They don't hold much interest for me. I simply won't buy one. The class only allows plastic chassis. That usually counts me out.

Then a friend says "Hey Ken. This old beat up Suzuki Swift needs some TLC and a new motor. Would you take it if it was free?" I wince at first, and eventually give in.

It looked innocent at first.

Then I opened it up. The chassis was hacked out to fit a larger motor than stock. The single rear body post was broken/cracked. One of the front posts was stripped. Yikes! A disaster!

Then my friend tells me about a Shapeways universal 3D chassis that should fit. It was a mere $12 so I bought one. I then threw in a Slot.It pod and NSR shark motor. Slot.It wheels, etc. There are a few details left like wire, braid, and guide. New body posts front and back should fix it right up.

The body is just sitting on the tires at the moment. But there's hope for this little baby Swift to go... Swiftly!

My first rally car. Hell may have frozen over. Thanks for looking.

Cheers,
Ken
