I'm into bodies

I finally found a car that disproves my theory about "you can't have too much power!" The Cobra is a bit narrow and tall and the Shark 40, whilst it does make it fun trying to control the beast is just a touch too much. I have a spare Shark 20 or maybe a ProSlot 3 will do a better job. Only one way to find out.

Never thought I'd see the day.

I guess it's an age thang!

The Shark 40 is going into a Revell GTO body which a bit lower and I'll get the gearing much longer too. The other body I want to motorise is a Porsche which is about half the width of the Cobra!
Rubber band perhaps?
In the end, I fitted a SlotiT brown endbell motor. Not very quick now but smooth and easy to drive. More relaxing for an old man.

Sporting?...Sporting? Who the hell cares about sporting?
It's winning, winning, winning that matters

I've been getting a few existing cars ready for a race meeting in September so the actual building has taken a back seat.
However, one car that has seen the scalpel is this Indy car. The Cummins Diesel special. Given the iconic nature of this beast, it is surprising that no manufacturer has seen fit to make it.
However, the now usual plasticard and balsa construction is on the way. I was making it for someone else but have come to like it so much that I'm making another in 32nd scale and offering him the choice of which he has.
I looks huge but when comparing it with other 24th scale cars, it's just long!
