That's an interesting build, can we see the chassis too please?

Hmm, very interesting, have you tried that setup for a circuit racer?

Jaguar C Type
File from 3D Export which comes as a complete car, with wheels tyres, engine etc, so file edited to strip back to a shell, rear sectioned for vertical FDM printing and a new interior and separate lights created.
Playing around with wire spoke inserts for this with 0.3mm section wires using a 0.2mm nozzle on a FDM printer.
Screen is on a piano wire insert so acts as a roll bar to prevent driver decapitation.
Paint is Hycote rattle can Brooklands green.
Chassis is a home brew with a sprung pod with spherical bearings for an inline boxer configuration using PCS wheels and a Slot it offset cog.

I always enjoy other 3D makers work, that is awesome!!
That looks good John, is it a one piece or two piece chassis?
Yesterday I printed an all-in-one chassis for the first time in over a year as I prefer SlotIt pods but just fancied the idea of an adjustable front and rear axle height to set ground clearance for proxies...testing will commence on Thursday.
...if it goes well I'll draw some more for other cars
Oh, just to add I've recently changed to a 0.3mm hardened nozzle to get a bit more detail (at the expense of time of course but it's quicker than making by alternative means)

Kevan,
Chassis has a separate motor pod with a torsion arm at the front and rear coil springs. Pod movement is controlled by a plate keyed to the rear post with grub screw adjustment to the coil springs arm. Motor held by 2 screws at the cog end and a corner bracket at the guide end (guide holder is a press fit and glue to retain) for a total of 7 printed parts. Front axle height adjustable by grub screws, rear is preset by design placement of the bearings.
Early days with the 0.2mm nozzle as it is a bit of a faff to work reliably and so far the best results are from printing small parts i.e. the wire spoke inserts and the headlamps, where as larger parts can lead to print fails as the nozzle clogs up. The wire spoke wheel inserts was a challenge from a fellow club member, and after laughing hysterically at the thought of FDM printing a 5mm dia spoke scaled to 1/32 i.e. @0.16mm dia I thought I would try to see what could be done. From using a 0.4mm nozzle the end result was more like a BBS wire mag, so going down to a 0.2 nozzle allowed for ‘spokes’ at 0.3mm dia and a stand off scale appearance.
These parts were done on a CR10 Mini with the 0.2mm nozzle using Esun ePLA-ST filament, the bodyshell and interior on the P1P using JAMG HE PLA+ with a 0.4mm nozzle.
Cheers

So the spokes are printed on a flat surface but slightly proud so they appear above a surface? good idea.

Like this, a main boss with a spoke rim and 1-2 spoke rims that slide over the boss and can be rotated to offset the spoke pattern and as you state are flat to the printer bed. There is a small offset so the next rim stands off from the preceding one. Spokes are 0.3mm thick and 1mm high so that the insert has some strength, but you could reduce the height down to @0.6mm or lower depending on the spoke length.
