Race Report
17th November 2021
This week see's us return to Old Bar Raceway after several weeks of no racing, for myself due to COVID testing caused by ignorant pricks going out into public spreading the virus throughout the public, associated guidelines, and myself having to isolate as a close contact, three negative results and I'm back into the racing.
All racers bar one, Paul, were in attendance this week including the newest group racer Warren. Warren brings a mixture of scratch builds and significant amount of knowledge to the group. He was thrown in the deep end like I was when I started, he did well considering a few of the cars preferred to 'turtle' on him, not to worry as all of us came to the assistance loaning him our backup cars.
This week saw various racers taking podiums wins, Joe snagged significantly his fair share, way to go Joe, and no electric drill trued tyres
. Lap records, driver best lap, a few jump starts which claimed both drivers. I myself snagged two lap records several laps apart in the Slot.it Can-Am race and I get to keep it for three weeks when we return to Old Bar Raceway .
Once again the Most Outstanding was Joe, he was average in the slower classes but when the Revoslot, LMP and Can-Am's came out he rocketed ahead with his podiums. And not forgetting Lindsay who snagged his share of podium wins also.
Jeffery was the most quiet of us all, as always, he ran his own races and was great to watch his racing I tried encouraging him along when I could, he just needs to have a little faith in himself and his cars, which actually run great, real great. Nice gear mesh, grip and control.

Chaos Report Headlines
We had quite a few Johnno's 'coming through' along with Lindsay's 'doing a Lindsay' This week saw a significant increase with cars deslotting and jumping into the other slot with head on impacts, we had a couple of hard impacts, the hardest impact surprisingly was Charlie, thankfully only minor damage to the cars, we had the usual wings breaking or falling off with Lindsay copping the most damage out of the arvo, again not real bad damage wise, but any amount of damage can be a bitter pill to be swallowed.
Charlie's most damage was what looked like a snapped axle, yup that's right the axle, when I looked at the axle the end was nicely rounded as they are when produced so the axle didn't break but it was still significantly shorter than before for some reason, this can only be put down to one of those WTF moments.
I myself deslotted and Charlie driving right underneath me, imagine that movie scene and this is what occurred.
Joe also lost a wheel throughout the racing and this time he had no hand drill trued wheels, all tyres were accounted for and we also saw Joe's Can-Am car vibrating loose it's rear screw like Johnno's does, thankfully the screw didn't fall into the slot.
