Shenanigans Raceway
Race Day Report
17th December 2025

A high-octane day of racing at Shenanigans Raceway saw a competitive field battle it out across various classes. While Deek was unfortunately unable to make the day, and Paul had to depart after competing in the first three events, the remaining drivers kept the intensity high through to the final heats.

Special mention goes to the Host 1-24 BRM Mini Coopers Fuel race, which added a layer of strategy to the nimble Mini Cooper class.

Driver Highlights
 • Paul: Started the day in dominant form, securing 1st place in both Trans-Am and GT International. He narrowly missed a third consecutive win in Group 5 before having to leave the event.
 • Johnno: The "King of Consistency" for the afternoon. After Paul's departure, Johnno took the top spot in five of the remaining classes, including the tactical Fuel race and a blistering performance in Group C with 85 laps.
 • Ray: A standout performance in Sideways Group 5 and Sideways Lamborghini Huracán GT3, where he took well-deserved victories. Ray also set the Current Race Best Lap in the Group 5 class with a 8.133s.
 • Ian: Ian stayed in the hunt all day, notably securing 2nd place in the Revoslot and Slot.it LMP classes. His pace in the Mini Cooper Fuel race kept him right on the bumper of the leaders.
Record-Breaking Moments
The day saw some incredible individual lap times:
 • Johnno set a blistering Current Race Best Lap of 8.408s in Revoslot and a 9.121s in Trans-Am.
 • Paul holds the Race Record Lap in Group 5 with a lightning-fast 7.481s and in the Huracán GT3 with a 7.716s.
Quote:Race Note: The BRM Mini Coopers Fuel race was a highlight of the technical heats, with Johnno taking the win with 78 laps, showing that managing the "fuel" is just as important as raw speed with these top heavy, short wheel base cars.

Shenanigans Raceway: Raceday Writeup
21st January 2026

It was a high-octane day at Shenanigans Raceway, marked by record-shattering speeds and a display of multi-tasking mastery. Despite a slightly smaller grid, with two racers unable to make the day, the intensity never wavered across the nine diverse categories.

Johnno also decided to run the track in reverse for the day, producing interesting racing and what felt like a better flow.

The "Johnno" Show
The undisputed MVP of the event was Johnno. Not only did he dominate the tarmac, but he also pulled double duty as the Track Caller for the entire day. Navigating his car through tight corners while calling out incidents and managing the race flow for every heat was a feat of focus that left the paddock impressed.

His performance wasn't just about talk, though; Johnno was on an absolute tear, setting new lap records across multiple classes and proving that he can drive as fast as he can speak.

Class Breakdown & Results
1. Trans-Am
The muscle cars kicked things off with a roar. Johnno led the pack with blistering consistency, setting the pace for a category that always delivers close-quarter racing and plenty of "paint trading."

2. GT International (NC5)
The NC5-powered GTs provided some of the most stable and rhythmic racing of the day. Without the missing competitors, the podium spots were hard-fought, with Johnno again pushing the limits of the NC5 motor to secure a top finish.

3. Slot.it Group 5
These "Special Production" monsters were a handful on the technical sections of the track. The wide-body aero kits were put to the test as racers fought for grip, with Johnno carving out a significant lead.

4. Slot.it Group C
The gold standard for Slot.it racing. The Group C heat saw some of the cleanest racing of the afternoon. The efficiency of these chassis allowed Johnno to dip into record-breaking territory, maintaining a pace that was simply untouchable.

5. Revo
The Revo heat brought a different mechanical feel to the track with its metal chassis. The extra weight provided a unique challenge through the esses, but the leaderboard showed that the top tier of racers adapted quickly to the "planted" feel of these cars.

6. Slot.it LMP
As the fastest non-open class, the LMP cars were a blur on the straights. Precision was key here, as any "deslot" at these speeds was costly. Johnno’s lap records here were particularly impressive given the high floor for performance in this category.

7. Slot.it Can-Am
Open-top vintage power! These cars are notoriously tail-happy, but the top finishers managed to keep the power down. The battle for second and third was the highlight of this heat, with mere tenths separating the runners-up.

8. Sideways Lamborghini Huracán GT3
The "Lambo" spec class provided a level playing field where driver skill was the only variable. The Huracán's look stunning and perform even better, and the racing was predictably tight, with Johnno showing exactly why he holds the records in this class.

9. R.W.Y.B. (Run What You Brung)
The final "anything goes" class saw the wildest builds of the day. From custom-tuned rockets to experimental setups, the R.W.Y.B. heat was the perfect chaotic finish to a professional day of racing.

Key Highlights of the days racing
Performance of the Day: Johnno – for his dual-role as Track Caller and his clean sweep of new lap records.
[*]Hard Luck Award: The two racers who couldn't attend, their absence was felt, particularly in the Group C and GT heats where they usually provide stiff competition.
[*]Race Control: Flawless execution throughout the day, ensuring all nine heats were completed efficiently.

Race Report: Shenanigans Raceway – The Full Throttle Showdown

The engines were screaming, the track in the new direction for the year and the competition was fierce at Shenanigans Raceway this week. Despite missing two of our regulars, the grid remained packed with talent as Paul, Johnno, and Deek battled across nine different classes.

The atmosphere was electric, thanks in no small part to Johnno, who pulled double duty - tearing up the track while keeping everyone on their toes with his expert track calling throughout the day.

The Highlights
It was a day defined by high-speed precision and a few record-breaking moments. The biggest headline belongs to Johnno, who absolutely flew in the Slot.it LMP class with an absolutely blistering 7.723, setting a brand-new Race Record Lap for the category.

Top Performers by Class
Quote:Note: While Paul took the overall win in the Slot.it LMP class with 85 laps, Johnno secured the "Fastest Lap of the Day" honours with his record-shattering 7.723 lap record.

Class Breakdowns
 • The Paul Powerhouse: Paul was in clinical form, taking the top spot in 7 out of the 9 races. His consistency in the Slot.it LMP (85 laps) and Slot.it Can-Am (78.39 laps) showed exactly why he’s the man to beat.
 • Johnno’s Revenge: Johnno didn't let Paul have it all his own way. He dominated the Slot.it Group C with a massive 82 laps and showed everyone how it's done in the R.W.Y.B. (Run What You Brought) class, finishing first with 79 laps.
 • Deek’s Determination: Deek remained a constant threat, particularly in the Sideways Group 5, where he pushed Paul to the limit, finishing a mere 0.78 laps behind for a well-earned second place. He also showed great pace in the R.W.Y.B., clinching the second spot on the podium.
Final Thoughts
Even with a slightly smaller grid, the racing was as tight as ever.

Johnno with his eye's on the track and cars and track-call button in hand ready and his record-breaking speed on the track made for a memorable meet. We missed our two absent drivers and look forward to having a full house for the next round of shenanigans!

Shenanigans Raceway Report
Wednesday 25th February, 2026

The Johnno and Paul Show Rolls On
It was another day of intense competition at Shenanigans Raceway, and the theme was familiar: it was undoubtedly another "Johnno and Paul day." The two drivers were the class of the field, trading wins and podium spots throughout the event. We were also pleased to have Jeffery join us for the day's racing action.

The battles between Paul and Johnno were the highlight of the day noticeably by Johnno who seemed to have stepped up his race pace some this week.

The Trans-Am race was a dead heat, with both drivers finishing with a score of 73.00 laps, and Paul taking the top position on the leaderboard. Paul continued his strong form, racking up victories in Slot.it Group C, Sideways Group 5, Revo, and Slot.it LMP, with Johnno finishing a close second in each instance.

The Sideways Lamborghini Huracán GT3 race featured another nail-biting finish. Paul edged out Johnno for the win with a score of 84.99 to 84.65. Paul also secured the victory in the Slot.it Can-Am event.

Johnno turned the tables in the GT International NC5 class, taking the win with a score of 79.19 ahead of Deek and Paul.

A special feature of the day was the R.W.Y.B. (Run What Ya Brung) race, which challenged drivers with a "different car every heat" format. Johnno proved his versatility, mastering the varied machinery to take first place with 78.00 laps, finishing just ahead of Paul.

Elsewhere in the field, Deek was a consistent podium threat, earning a second-place finish in the GT International race and multiple third-place results. Ian also put in steady performances throughout the day, while new addition Jeffery gained valuable experience across several classes.

? Shenanigans Raceway Race Report ?
Wednesday, 3rd June, 2026

The latest meet at Shenanigans Raceway treated drivers to a grueling, high-stakes test of mechanical consistency, throttle control, and sheer patience. With several regular racers down for the day, a tighter, highly focused grid took to the slots.

The day was shaped by intermittent guide wire issues across multiple racers. These issues created unexpected delays with repairs or backup cars being called into use.

A highlight of the day was having Mick attend and displayed exceptional persistence. Despite encountering tech gremlins that could have easily derailed the day, Mick completed every single lap across all eight classes and secured some brilliant hard-fought podium finishes. Congratulations Mick on your well deserved placings.

? Driver of the day: Mick
While Johnno and Paul hoarded most of the silverware at the front, Mick takes home the honors for performance of the night. Battling lower grid counts and zero breaks, his ultimate 2nd place in the Lamborghini GT3 finale showed what true racecraft and skills are about.
