On a standard ARC Pro powerbase, the direction across the sensors is vital for lap counting. It will only work right to left. Perhaps try the cars in the opposite direction and see? In analogue mode it is only the optical sensors that function - again try in the opposite direction.
Another issue with the standard powerbase is setting up the race correctly in the app - what I call 'the Rule of Three Colours'. The controller, car to powerbase and car in the app must be the same colour for the app to count laps. I've explained it in more detail here: slotracer.online/arc-pro-guide/preparation
As for fitting the ARC Pro sensors in a wood track - it's not something I've done. I see you have cut the sensor boards to widen the lane spacing. It might be worth going back and double-checking your work.
