Plenty of different numbers for Jim Clark 1963, plus the all-green Trevor Taylor cars. And options to do plenty of 1964 cars. I am sure they will recoup their tooling costs on this one.
I'm not sure if it is a pattern or a coincidence, but the Le Mans-winning McLaren F1 GTR was released as a limited edition last December and has been followed up with other liveries in standard boxes. Perhaps part of the wider Hornby drive of "delighting our customers" (CEO Lyndon Davies in the 2019 Annual Report here)? Worth reading that Annual Report - with the caveat of also reading between the lines. One of Hornby's business aims is to run with a much smaller inventory, so that new cars and sets sell out by the end of the year. So perhaps a 2500 piece run is not much smaller than a standard run?
I am looking forward to the new catalogue on Monday 6 January. It is rumoured to be a good one - a taste of things to come with the new management in place.
