Race report and results - 26th March 2026 - Club Revoslots followed by Sports

The first three to race these gave them a fair few laps to get the tyres ready to race. Ed, Brian H & Matthew lined up to start a busy race, busy for the marshals that is as these have to be driven differently, i.e. deslot easily but they’re quick cars nevertheless.
.
Paul stopped whilst in the lead on the last lap thinking the race was over only to be overtaken by Ed & Matthew who were on the same lap. Ed chuckled, a win’s a win.
.
These are all very evenly matched cars, the Porsche is the quickest on the straight, the Marcos is the most predictable and the Viper is the smoothest.

Sports
.
Andy decided to race the Cooper King Cobra in Small Sports along with Matthew racing a Ferrari 250 GTO. It’s great that the small classes haven’t been forgotten, last week we saw an Anglia in Small Saloon, this week two cars in Small Sports. Hopefully we can resurrect the Small Sport/Saloon class next year when this year's newcomers have cars for the class.
The King Cobra is a rapid little thing that punches well above its weight and managed the 2nd best overall score in Red lane, whilst Matthew drove very well with the Ferrari managing to get into the 7.3’s in Small Sport is competitive.
.
Ed & Brian H raced Modified Class cars (upgraded Standard Class), Brian’s Jag had problems with the motor popping out of the mount last time out, tonight the problem was unglued tyres popping off wheels. When he gets it sorted, the Jag should be a nice little (actually not so little) racer.
…Ed yet again chuckling his way to a (class) win this time with a Fly Porsche 908/2 which is actually a surprisingly nice running car.
.
Paul raced an Open Class Ferrari 512S codalunga (codalunga is Italian for ‘long tail’, not to be confused with the Manx superstition calling R.A.T’s longtails). Once he got into the swing of racing this for the first time, it went really well.
.
Kev, Brian L & Geoff contesting Prostock Class. Kev’s Thunderslot Mclaren too quick for Brian’s SlotIt Group C Porsche and Geoff’s Sideways Lamborghini Huracan. “It really needs a faster motor” says Kev… “give over!!!” says Brian.
The orange Porsche slipped under the radar somewhat and a great set of drives from Brian…It’s one of his favourite cars.
Geoff’s Lambo, a standard Sideways setup but on BRM tyres, a consistently good race car. Geoff uses BRM tyres on most of his cars, if the ones on the club Revos are anything to go by they should polish well and give super grip.
.
Just a quick word for our Terry who will be out of action for a few weeks, look after yourself bud and see you soon.
