Race report and results - 19th March 2026 - Grand Prix & F1 followed by Saloons/Small Saloons

Three Grand Prix cars tonight: 

• Paul - Cartrix Aston Martin DBR4
  
• Mike - Resin Mercedes W196
  
• Ed - Cartrix Lancia Ferrari D50
  

These raced each other all night


…and three F1’s:

• Kev - NSR F1
  
• Brian - NSR F1
  
• Geoff - NSR F1
  

These also raced each other tonight.

The F1’s were struggling for grip, Red lane was worse, Yellow lane was better.  Probably because there was little practice done on those two lanes before racing started.

Saloons/Small Saloons

   
.
We raced Round Robin style this time, mixing the drivers and classes.  Although there was only one Small Saloon, Kev’s Anglia was quick enough to keep up!  Geoff called it the Harry Potter car, casting spells… “Deslottus Inexpecto”... 
.
It’s always good to see a racing Beemer, Mike’s Fly 320i made a great first impression, let’s hope we see it again soon.
.
Another newcomer on the track was Paul’s lovely SlotIt Alfa 155, what a great looking car.  It went OK first time out and should go better with more track time.
.
Another Alfa 155 was Ed’s proxy car, a serious racing test before it goes off to the next proxy due to start in April.
.
Brian’s Opel Calibra looked like one to beat tonight but a few too many deslots, (blame those those pesky spells cast by Harry Potters Anglia (actually it was Ron Weasley’s))
.
…and Geoff’s Scooby, a quick standard car with 4WD and a Rally crew fancied a go on the circuit for a change, still managed three runners-up places in his races.
