Shenanigans Raceway: The Unsung Hero of Race Day
The latest session at Shenanigans Raceway was a testament to competitive spirit and sportsmanship, spearheaded by Johnno, who truly embodied the phrase "Host, organizer, racer and gentleman" across the entire day's proceedings. While the leaderboards are filled with close, high-stakes battles, a closer look reveals Johnno’s masterful performance both on and off the track, a performance marked by blistering pace and a deliberate willingness to let his fellow competitors claim the top spots.

A couple of racers were unable to make the day due to illness and other prior commitments.

Dominance in Pace, Dedication in Service
Johnno was omnipresent throughout the event, taking on the crucial duties of marshaling and track calling all while racing, ensuring the races ran smoothly and safely for everyone. His commitment to the club was evident, matching his commitment to setting world-class lap times.

Despite his administrative duties, Johnno demonstrated phenomenal pace in every class he entered. In both the Slot.it LMP and the RWYB (Run What You Brung) classes, Johnno secured the best individual lap time of the entire field, confirming he had the raw speed to take pole position.

The Master of the Second Place Podium
Across the competitive schedule, Johnno consistently placed himself in contention for the win, yet he finished just shy of the top spot in nearly every event. This pattern suggests a magnificent act of sportsmanship, giving his fellow racers, Paul and Deek, their well-deserved time in the spotlight.

Slot.it LMP: Johnno finished a close 2nd to Paul, despite posting the overall Best Lap (7.845 seconds).
Slot.it Group C: Again, Johnno placed 2nd, right behind Paul.
Slot.it Can-Am: Another 2nd-place finish, ensuring Paul took the top prize.
Revoslot: Johnno secured 2nd place here as well, showcasing consistency in a tough field.

In the Trans-Am and the Host class1/24 BRM Mini Cooper Fuel races, he finished a respectable 2nd, while the Sideways Group 5, GT International NC5, and Sideways Lamborghini Huracán GT3 events saw him round out the podium in 3rd place.

A True Champion
While his score sheets may not show a first-place trophy, the overall race day was defined by Johnno’s invaluable contribution.
