Mine is the 1934 edition and sure enough, the inside cover is stamped:
"Presented to the Port Library, HM Dockyard, Portsmouth by SM Whibley, Esq."
Boot sale sellers are not that fussy.
I just use the Kindle app on the Mac or Calibre. There are so many free books out there. Kindle books are usually reasonable, anything from 98 centimes to 5 or 6 euros. This one is 3,35 euros. Late edition obviously.
