Round 3 Nascot Wood Ruminations.
First the results...
Classic
80s/90s
Modern
Overall
The TR7 ran well, probably could gave been driven a bit better/aggressively.
Had an epiphany with the Delta, remembering I had changed the rear tyres for an event I did not get to. Found the original rear wheels with my preferred tyres on, fitted them and immediately found it more comfortable to drive on my home rally track. Did a bit of work around body movement, and changed the rear springs. Now I feel it can be a bit more competative, and a strong car to lead out my other 80s/90s entry.
The 205 was under-prepared for Nascot Wood. I've now fitted longer braids and that has transformed its performance. I have also racked up a load of laps on my home track to get the motor and gears bedded in properly. It now feels much smoother.
The 208 seems to have hit a glass ceiling with 5th place. Just to give myself a phycological boost, I've fitted new braids and tweaked the ballast. It doesn't seem to go any slower, so lets see what it can do on its local tracks at the next round in Worthing.
