And then hooked up to the Arduino...



Does it matter which way around the wires from the dead track feed to the Arduino? I'm  assuming each wire is connected to each of the rails of the non-powered section of the deadtrack? Hard to see in the pictures. 



With power coming from the Arduino itself (red & black) and 'lap sensing' output to the Arduino (orange and yellow).
