Hello everyone,
Here are a few pictures of my slightly modified Scalextric Ford Escort WRC, Rallye Monte Carlo 1998 (C4513).
I switched the drivers to their correct position. Like the real rally car, the Escort is now left-hand drive.
Unfortunately I could not change the mirrored dashboard, as is possible in the Scalextric Escort MK1.
Nevertheless I am happy with this compromise.
I also shortened the black roll cage (which should be white). This shifted the crossbar towards the B-pillar, which is more realistic.
The Escort WRC, driven by Juha Kankkunen and his navigator Juha Repo, finished second overall, behind the Toyota Corolla WRC of winner Carlos Sainz.
