[Gordon Steadman]

Must be a shame for some that the Goodwood event is the same weekend as The Circuit de Remparts out here. The Brits are out in force this year as ever. On the Saturday before the races, there is a grand tour of the Charente. This year it's coming through the village right past our front door.

Every classic car known to man has driven past over the last few hours. Lots of American iron, MGAs and Bs, Alfas, Porsches, Ferraris you name it. If it weren't for the fact that the Mac is full of photos of past events, it would be getting filled up again. After a while though, it almost becomes too much and you suffer from classic car overload.

Still fun to watch and wave though. Most of the cars wave back and toot but the inevitable snooty buggers in their modern supercars just drive past with their noses in the air trying desperately to ignore the peasants.
