The run down from Fordwater to St Mary's and Lavant has become one of our favourite places on the circuit. The facilities are a bit sparse on this strectch, so Mike was keen to stock up on beer when he could. Then it was time to hang out at the left-hander at St Mary's for the Cooper Car Company parade and the Glover Trophy...

The blue Lotus-BRM crashed first and then the green Brabham BT7 spun backwards into it. Fortunately both drivers were absolutely fine, although the Brabham dumped its fuel all over the grass and the rescue truck, requiring the fire marshals to hose down the area. Both cars will need some work done to be ready for this afternoon's race.
