To be honest, our school holiday AFX club car team races can be a bit hit or miss. They are designed to bring in new racers for a fun evening on a replica of a real-world track, using the fabulous AFX Le Mans Prototype cars and the easy-to-drive Mega-G+ chassis. Quite a few of our regular racers give these a miss, so to make them a hit means going out and finding some new racers...

This time, the stars aligned. A facebook ad, our regular daily facebook activity and a visit to a local open day last Sunday attracted seven brand new racers in a field of twenty-two - that also included four racers making just their second visit to the Barn. So half the field were newbies and eight were under-16. Everyone had a good time and one of the first-time racers - ten-year-old Harry - ended up in victory lane as captain of the winning team. All the post race-coverage is here.
