As several of our club members and those at SSRC are either retired or work shift work, we race an Open Meeting on the last Friday of the month. We race 2 of 4 classes, Classic Sports GT (Slot-It, NSR, Thunderslot and Fly.), Slot-It Group C, Racer Group 5 and the newest class Goodwood Sports. 

The 4th Friday Open Meeting for 2023 will be held on Friday 26th May, racing,Goodwood Sports and Racer Group 5..The Meeting Format and Rules for the Open meeting are the club website www.gtraceway essex The Goodwood Sports class appeared to be popular last month with a variety of cars racing, this included the Pre 67 Front Engined Sports Car class raced at SSRC and the Ninco Classic class that we raced at GTR last year, however the main difference now with the Ninco Classic class is there is more of an open choice of chassis, motors, wheels etc. .

The cost for the day's racing is £8 for both classes or if you wish to race only one class £5. There will be tea, coffee, cold drinks and biscuits available. If you wish to attend please confirm at enquiries@gtracewayessex.com
