Race Wrap

Undara Circuit
28th September 2022

The classes run this week included:
- Ninco 1,
- Ninco Porsche Cup,
- Trans-Am,
- GT International,
- Revoslot,
- Run What Ya Brung (that you haven't run today) Fuel,
- Host Fuel 1:24 BRM Mini Cooper,

Thanks Paul for hosting the days and to everyone that made the day, missing today was Nathan and Stephen, both out due to illnesses which meant Undara Circuit raced on four lanes with one marshal and track calls for deslots where needed.

Throughout many classes and heats there was quite a number of 'Driver Best Lap', 'Best Lap' and even multiple 'Lap Records' set. I have to mention again this week that the improvement of the racing, car control and lap times, especially with Robyn and Ian.

This week Paul waited at the start line for 10 seconds after the racing started then took off like the rocket he is LOL, Johnno started with the others but drove around the track at a considerably slow speed, often crossing the Start/Finish Line after Paul had taken off.

Very close racing across the first three classes ran, moving forward with the faster class cars the racing times stared spreading out further, shows that the faster classes are harder to race.

Robyn and Ian had to leave early so we ran two Fuel races, one with the 1:24 BRM Mini Cooper's provided by Shenanigans Raceway and the 2nd Fuel race being Run What Ya Brung (that you haven't run today). Both Fuel races were essentially identical time wise. Some great Fuel strategies were undertaken.

From there we ran several time races with the car of your chossing, where we had 10 laps to get as close to the set time, same car, moving through the lanes. The winner chose the next time to get nearest to, example, 8 seconds, Paul took this one with a perfect 8.000 seconds on the green lane. This certainly is harder than you would think, we moved up through faster cars becoming harder and harder to get the mark.

Special mentions and congratulations to Robyn, Ian and Ray for their hard fought for podium wins below:
