The generally accepted principle is that low grip surfaces (plastics) require soft and flexible chassis whereas high grip require stiffer chassis.
I visited Luton Wood track recently and the experience of trying to drive a soft (blue) chassis suspension NSRMosler on wood seemed to reconfirm this.
Soft chassis suspension cars dig in, shudder and are hard to drive on wood tracks.
