I found this lovely 1/32 McLaren at Gaydon, attracted by its proportions, condition, alloy wheels, sidewinder motor, full interior and - steering. The driver even has a separate clear visor on his full face helmet!
I'm delighted with it as it's of good quality, with some weight to it - but it seems to be a bit of a mystery machine. It has no identifying marks other than the ubiquitous 'Made in China' underneath. Several fellow 'slotters' were unable to identify the manufacturer but 'knew someone who could'. However, none could shed any light on it.
The obvious thing was to return to the vendor, who thought it was a 'one-off' by an American manufacturer that disappeared without making anything else - but he couldn't think of the manufacturer's name either.
Is there anyone out there who does please?
