The first three liveries on the Escort have just been announced and they are typically very cool, but frustratingly off-kilter...
This first is most definitely a Rothmans scheme - perfect Escort rally territory, but most definitely the Mk2 era. Apart from a lack of Rothmans logos, the livery is lifted from Ari Vatanen's 1980 British Rally Championship winning Mk2 RS1800.
The other two liveries are race versions - but with those spare tyres on the roof. This Castrol livery is based on the Zakspeed car that Dieter Glemser drove on the way to winning the 1974 DRM championship. This car will be available in the SC380 Rally World Stage release along with the Rothmans rally car.
The third car will be an AutoWorld online store exclusive (SCM124) and recreates an Alan Mann Racing Escort which won the 1968 British Saloon Car Championship in the hands of Aussie Frank Gardner. It's another iconic livery.
Expect some unpainted bodies to appear in the AutoWorld store too.
